How We Fulfill Our Mission at ENABLE

         ENABLE provides Supported Employment services to individuals who are referred by the New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services or the Division of Developmental Disabilities and school-to-work transition programs. ENABLE operates in five northern New Jersey counties: Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex and Union. There is no charge to the individual; all fees are paid by government agencies.

         Supported Employment is job-related guidance and support for individuals and employers that uses the services of a Job Coach. The Job Coach, who may also be called an Employment Specialist, assists an individual in looking for work, in learning the new job and in succeeding in the workplace.

         Employers benefit from Supported Employment because ENABLE carefully matches job candidates with job requirements, thus saving recruitment and interviewing time and expense. Once our candidate is hired, the Job Coach assists with training at the workplace to ensure that the job is being done completely and correctly.
